Her arms are so white they’re near silvery too

Her shawl is near amethyst, fringe catches the wind

Also while she’s twirling, her red hair is pinned

“With whom is she dancing?” Ask the elders in awe

“Seems to be with no one, but I’ll have a go!”

Her lips are so rosy

Her eyes are so fine

“Tis like lookin’ at heaven, at heaven divine!”

Though her arms are now empty, her heart never is

Though she feels it so keenly, she’s never amiss

She’s befriended the town, making it ever so bright

And she’s bundled sweet flowers from many a knight

“Life…it is for dancing!” She’s learned many a waltz

“And not for poor tears or those ‘smellering salts!’”

She’s so very happy, though her eyes are so blue

Glass windows to a heart, that is ever so true

Admirers earth-going, they’d never know a star

But lady they know you, they know what you are!

“How happy it is that we see such a scene!

All admiring such a lady while dancing in green!”

I want you to be

A wall of memory

I want you to be

Snow on a frozen window

Foggy, tearing up, yet no one would ever know

Cry with me

Break with me

Yell with me

All these things we can be in secrecy

But, at the door, Humility

That is what I want you to be

Lies a place no human has touched. 

It has been seen, 

but with its crushing pressure,  

none have gone there without a thick metal cage. 

In spite of its darkness and depth, 

It is brimming with life. 

These creatures are strange to surface dwellers, this does not make them any less beautiful. 

No, their beauty remains hidden in the deep, 

for those who wish to find it. 

Seen through glass, 

it is never felt. 

It will be forever beyond, 

unless there is someone truly brave. 

Someone who would go beyond what is known. Someone who trusts in their own abilities. 

Someone who is prepared to survive such great depths. 

What will be found, then? 

Gold, silver, and lost treasures that sank beneath the waves? Or will they find merely bones and silt, 

from things long dead? 

What hides in that place, 

that light from the sky has never touched? 

Perhaps it goes ever downward, 

opening deeper and deeper, 

until the Earth’s core is revealed. 

What will they think, 

when they discover the depths? 

Will they recoil in horror, 

haunted by what they have seen? 

Or, perhaps, 

the sight will fill them with wonder. 

A joyful memory they will carry for the rest of their days.

In the passing dream of opportunities missed.

As the soft bell strike

Of lives unlived

And worlds unexplored,

A pain sets in

Of loves lost and never found

Of loves found but never known.

Aches and sores seep in

that were never there.

And the mind release,

And the spirit release,

Sighs of stories never told.

Blood seeps from auburn clouds.

A reaping in the mist.

Shrieks and cries haunt the air,

Of children in the distance.

And I alive,

shiver at the heat

and run the other way.

Hollow eyes watch the wind,

Mind runs wild.

The end is nigh.

The end is nigh.

I sigh,

And take a breath,

Before my death,

And hesitate to embrace

the flames and fanged things.

The screech is heard.

It’s agony.

Of something horrid that had waste.

A monster’s charge.

The monsters large

Come mounting after me.

As carnal pleasure,

Sings for flesh.

Their horns and thorns and covered spine,

Ring and splice and slice

inside my abdomen.

And guts fall out,

And pus falls out,

And I watch in suffering.

Demons.

Demons by my eyes,

Demons in my head.

Rotate around me,

As I fight the walls

Of my prison cell.

How I wish to witness your illuminating beauty.

How I wish to gallop across the bright and night skies with you by my side

Oh elusive moon, do you shine because I make you shine?

Why lie? I will never see your dark side if I make you shine.

Do you want to ride with me along this incandescent sky?

In my trials, I may just be chasing my own tail,

But in style, I pretend that I’m fine.

Sometimes I see you, sometimes I don’t, sometimes the clouds are too thick and no one can see you but I.

I sigh,

Will we ever meet in this melancholy sky?

Perhaps we will, Perhaps we won’t.

But still I hope, for what hope is good for,

That maybe one day we will come together and even life will be eclipsed by our love.
